The 3.1 Women's Association was founded in the United States to honor and celebrate the sacrifices and contributions of brave Korean women. These women are known to have played an important role in the Korean independence movement.

March 1, 1919 is a very important day for all Koreans and Korean Americans as it celebrates independence and commemorates the end of colonial rule.
